So I bought this expensive ($2K) GE refrigerator from Lowe's less than 2 years ago and have been having chronic problems with the bottom freezer cycling to cause the ice to melt in the ice dispenser, water overflows, freezes again and keeps the door from closing properly, which results in heavy frost. The fridge is a stainless steel unit with two top doors and a sliding bottom unit.
It is out of warranty, so I called Sears and they fixed it, but when I called Sears back several times under their 90 day service warranty about the cycling (no frost, though) they came out again and finally told me if I called them again they would have to charge me for a new service call.
Does anyone have any ideas about how I might get satisfaction on this from Lowe's or GE? I think it is a fundamental design flaw or manufacturing defect.
Thanks!
Warren
