Led replacement bulbs

I want to replace the two interior lite bulbs and two bulbs in the V-Birth, the bulbs are a #1004 bulb, I want to replace them with LED's. My boat is a 22ft cruiser 2006 yr. Any help would be appricated

I ordered from Marinebeam in 2015. I've been pleased. Below is my order. The G4 was for another boat. I have a Perko anchor light and used the Cool White for it. Very bright. I returned the Warm White.

I can have the LED anchor light plus another LED light on inside and draw less amps than one incandescent original bulb did.

I really do like the switchable white/red. I put one over the table. Makes it bright enough to see inside but you can still look out over the anchorage. The other one is in the Head. Nice to have a light in there and it doesn't wake the spouse up. If one of the plain white ones goes out I will replace with the red/white.

I need to order some LED for the cockpit courtesy lights. I keep forgetting to look at the size.

2 x 9-LED Bayonet Array Matrix for Overhead Dome Lights (BA-15-09)
(Base Type: Double-Contact BA15D, Output Color: Warm White)
1 x Replacement for GE89 and GE90 Attwood & Perko Bayonets
(Output Color: Warm White, Base Type: Double Contact)
1 x Replacement for GE89 and GE90 Attwood & Perko Bayonets
(Output Color: Cool White, Base Type: Double Contact)
2 x G4 LED Bulb 6-LED Power Cluster - Novi
(Output Color: Warm White)
2 x Red/White "Switchable" LED for Dome Lights
(Base Type: Double-Contact (BA15d))

Replace any and all C-Dory lights with LED'S from Marinebeam, and you'll be glad you did. Great customer service and knowledge base, best quality (not low bid Chinese on Amazon).
Buy Quality the first time and you'll be glad in the long run.

For the Perko interior lights I used the flat LED array "bulbs". They come with adapters to connect to the regular festoon bulb holders. I just wired them directly though. You do need to modify the Perko fixture a little to hold the array (small piece of wood or plastic). I got mine off eBay for about $1.50 each. Get the warm white color to replicate the incandescent bulbs that you remove.

Yes, they are a lot cheaper than the Marinebeam replacements. But they've worked fine going on 4 years now. Replacing all the incandescent bulbs with LEDs was one of the first things I did when I bought my boat.

FWIW. I used the Marinebeam LED replacement for my anchor light. It was around $25 (with shipping). It is way brighter than the incandescent bulb it replaced. It lights up the whole top of the boat and the front deck.

From what I read, it is better to use the "warm" white bulbs for the interior lights (more incandescent like) and the cool white (or led white) bulbs for the anchor light (stands out more).

It's what I did, exactly. The cool white is much "whiter". (am I allowed to even say that?)

Yes Mark you are
and I did the same.

I replaced the interior lights with new fixtures with 2-way switches, white or red, (2 in the cabin, and one in the birth). The nav lights got replaced too, I was tired of replacing bulbs every year due to (I think) vibration. Seems they would work until I trailered home, then quit. I also replace the anchor light, with a Perko 30 inch, aluminum pole LED. Now it clears the inflatable when it is up on the rack, and it is definitely brighter (whiter) than the incandescent OEM.

I changed all the bulbs on my 22 to LED. Go to a RV shop, they cost 75% less than a marine chandler. You can buy them online but if any arrive not working you have the hassle of sending them back and getting replacements. Buy from the RV shop and they replace any duds no questions asked.

Martin.

Marinebeam.com are the best LED replacements on the market.

Choose the one push red, two pushes white. Guaranteed no vhf radio interfernee like you get with the cheapo Chinese LEDS like DR LED.

Great US based tech support!

The Marinebeam Long Distance Illuminator is an incredible instrument for picking out NAVAIDS at night for $129 with a 72h runtime with two D batteries.

You should get one!
