LAZ covers for older 22's

Joel (SEA3PO) did a fantastic job on getting replacement Laz covers for the newer boats. But at least a couple of us with older boats could not fit them. The old boats were even worse than the new as they channeled all water through the Laz like a funnel.

This is just a heads up that I found some replacement covers that fit the old (87-?, maybe older) boats and will fit with no cutting of the boat and maintain good access with water tightness. I put a 3 picture sub album at the end of my album. The ones I put on are light gray but they also come in white.

They may not be quite as nice as Joel's, but they are one heck of a lot better than the standard oem ones on our antiques, are relatively inexpensive (like $75 delivered) and are only about a 2 hour install. PM if you want details, I have no idea how many might have interest, if any, so I'll spare the details in the post.

Now that Chris has shown us covers for the "older" boats that differ from the newer ones shown by Joel, I guess that there were 3 variants as my '89 has covers that are different from either. IMG_1724.sized.jpg
Of course, they leaked at the latch. For years I relied on home-made vinyl latch covers that velcroed in place. Then when I upgraded to lockable latches PKO0931DP1BLK.jpg I discovered that Perko offered their own latch covers. 13944_G.jpg For those like me with "middle-aged" boats this is a great solution.
