The Kentucky lock will begin daytime lock closings on Oct. 1-4, and
then again on Oct. 9-11. During these dates, the lock will be closed
for the daylight hours (not to exceed 10 hours per day) and will
resume operation at night. This closure cycle is for divers to
inspect underwater portions of the lock wall.
Then, the lock will be closed to all traffic from October 16th thru
November 8 for the lock de-watering and repair operation.
So....this will for sure impact those of us planing a bit of river travel in these parts.
