I have a S-H 1500S VHF radio that I bought in 2007. Last summer it suddenly 'lost' its MMSI number. I tried to re-enter the number but couldn't as the radio said 'too many entries'.
I called S-H and they said to send it in. I put it in a Priority mailing box and paid the $14.00 to send. Two weeks later S-H returned the radio, repaired at no cost and with prepaid shipping. This radio is out of warranty and their stated flat rate repair cost is $65.00.
I could have replaced the radio with a new one of the same model for $135.00 so I think the $14.00 shipping charge is a bargain.
Yes, I would buy more S-H products.
