I have a 90hp honda on a 2006 19' Angler. I would like to know the best way to add my 2007 honda 5hp as a kicker.

This is what I mounted for use with a 6 hp long shaft Tohatsu on my 19. (My main is a 90 hp Suzuki.) I have both trim tabs and a Permatrim and there is no issue with clearance. I can't recall the manufacturer, but I think it is a Garelick. Works great.

Robbi-

Does yuour kicker have a steering link to the main motor, or do yu steer by the ob's tiller?

Joe. :teeth :thup

Robbi,

It is a Garelick. It's the same mount I use on my 22. Just clears the trim tabs and I use a remote steering link. The only item to note is when tilted up, the lower unit in some boat attitudes (bow high) will just touch the surface of the water. At anchor it will be partially in the water.

I would get a kicker with 2 cylinders of you plan on trolling with it. I can can't stand the vibration/knocking on the single cylinder 4 strokes. I think tahastu 8hp and above are, all 9.9's are.

Joe,
I use the tiller handle, and have to raise it at an angle when I turn the engine to the port side, but it works ok. If I am in open water I sometimes use the main as a rudder to steer.
