Thought you might get a laugh out of this. Took a while but I did. Last year I ordered up a beautiful set of spanking new decals for my C-Dory. They came in the mail but for the life of me I couldn't figure out why they had sent me two sets. I thought it was awful nice of them. Maybe people had been having trouble getting them on straight and they wanted to make sure you had enough? After closer inspection I noticed that one set was a larger gold decal and the other was a slightly smaller black decal. Well of course I wanted the black ones so I stuck them on and sat back to admire the new, clean, crisp C-Dory emblem on the side of my boat. As things do in my brain, after the job was complete I began reviewing the whole process and a huge light bulb went off in my brain. THE GOLD DECAL GOES ON FIRST TO PROVIDE A GOLD OUTLINE TO THE BLACK DECAL THAT GOES ON OVER IT YOU IDIOT!!! My only excused is that they didn't come with instructions. It still looks good but not as good as if it had a gold outline to it. Dooh!
 
Another one of those things that is so simple they didn't even bother to include instructions. I mean, it is so easy a monkey could do it......I'd probably screw it up too.....LOL.....
 
Look in my album and you will see a picture of my gold/black C-Dory decal that I ordered and put on.
Thankfully it came in one piece so no brain farts occurred with mine. THey do look nice with the gold behind.

Your pain will be our gain. Only a fool will make the same mistake after reading your recap.

Unfortunately for me, I am the fool for the job. Fingers crossed that I actually remember this post when applying decals...
