This year we traveled to Poland, the Baltic Countries and Russia. Saw a lot, learned more than we dreamed and had a heck of a good thyme. Didn't do it by boat, but by bus.
Visiting the "Evil Empire" was something I never had planned on, because working in Aerospace teaches you that the USSR is BAD. Whoda thought the USSR doesn't exist and Russia is just another country, with as many problems as any other country. On the other hand, visiting Poland and the Balkan Countries explains why it was called the Evil Empire. And this trip showed me that my homeland is SoCal.
