Jacari Maru heading to SE Alaska

Larry and Nancy,

Dee and I were just thinking if you two had left on your trip. We will be a couple of weeks behind you. Hopefully we can meet up like we did in 07.

Good luck, be safe and we will look forward to your updates.

Am following your blog and enjoying it greatly. Anyone considering doing a similar cruise in the future would sure benefit from following your blog. The kind of information your sharing would have really helped us prepare for our first cruise and even with several behind us in Southeast Alaska I think there's much to be learned from you in our preparation for next year.

If I remember right you two were the first or very near to it to do a extensive cruise north to Southeast Alaska in a 22 C-Dory Cruiser.

Wishing you and Nancy another wonderful summer cruise,

Jay

Left Double Bay, Hanson Island, near the Broughtons bound for Blunden Harbour. Rounding Cape caution tomorrow.

New blog entry.

Larry,

Thanks for the figures on fuel burn and speed. I had no idea that it would be that economical, and including the tankage info. It does sound like a nice way to go. I'm thinking I might want to add a couple of 55 gal drums, lengthwise on the cabin top to increase my range a bit :wink or stand 4 on end in the cockpit and really go someplace :wink :xlol :xnaughty

Have a great trip, and wish you were carrying SPOT so we could put you on a map and follow live. Travel safe.

Stop by and see us if you get as far North as Juneau. We can arrange for a trailer for a few hours if you need to change your oil or whatever. Give us a call if we can be of assistance. The weather up here has been incredible. It was in the mid 80s last week and has been sunny without any rain for several weeks! 8)

Larry, it is great to have you post back to C-Brats every so often, as a reminder to check the blog. I've really been enjoying your account - the only way better than to see it through your eyes would to be there ourselves. I really appreciate your taking the effort to write it up. Your writing is excellent. Hi to Nancy.

Larry,

Thanks for blog links. Very good write ups and interesting. The "Sub Range" info and the commercial fishing notes (gill nets and how to avoid). Best info so far:
"If more people followed the golden rule,
the world would be a much better place!"
Thanks for sharing. Travel safe, and keep posting.
