Interor Modifications

Over the winter I worked on a couple of interior modifications. The first was converting the passenger seat to one that is identical to the helm seat. It is more comfortable than the dinette conversion seat. It is mounted on a swivel and the seat has been raised to sit at the same height as the helm seat so the passenger has better visability and a liitle more leg room. It can be turned around to face the dinette when the box is moved forward.
The lid to the box is mounted on hinges and access for storage is greatly improved and since the lid is higher now there is a little more room. There is also better access to the storage bin that has been installed on the port side.
The only down side is that you can't convert it to a bed. However, by removing 2 bolts that hold the assembly to the box you can convert it back to the original configuration if desired.
The other modification is a small storage bin on the starboard helm station next to your feet. gives just a small nook to store things and there is still plenty of foot room.
Don't know how to post photos on the forum, but have put them in our album on page 2

Here you go--just go to your album, click on the picture, hit control (mac) choose the "Image address", click on it, and then paste after "img" then hit "img*" after.

A great idea and very nicely implemented! I like the same ride height, improved seating and more storage. Swivel seat appears to work well for this.

The storage bins along the sides are a nice bonus for small item storage in space that is otherwise unused. I anticipate others may follow suit so I hope you haven't copyrighted the concept!

Great job! I had imagined doing the exact same thing but didn't get around to doing it this winter. Well executed. I might have to "borrow"some of your ideas.
