It is probably more interesting to me than to most, because Dr. Davis is my nephew. The knucklehead is wanting to dig up ancient folks under the ocean.

Before we headed to Stanford in 1958 where my dad got his doctorate in education, he was head math and science teacher in Portland -- he taught at Mt Tabor. He used to take kids on archaeologic and geologic field trips around the state -- sometimes I got to tag along and I loved it. Wonder how many of those kids went on to "do science"?
