I showed it to my wife and she said, "yes, that's a pretty picture" I asked what she saw and she said "3 geese at sunset".
I said, that's all, you don't see the face? "She replied, "Oh my gosh, that is amazing!".
I'm wondering if others reacted the same? Probably largely explains why my wife chose me.
I didn't notice it at first and may not have except for the comment about photo shop. I prefer to think the photographer and birds had perfect timing. After seeing the face it's hard to view the picture as I did before noticing it.
I am not sure what kind of birds they are. I don’t think geese have round bodies. My first impression was owls.
I have a hard time seeing the face. The eyes and mouth is easy but I have to concentrate to see the rest of the face.
The starkness of the background reminds me of the Chernobyl disaster. The patchy snow, the dead and dieing trees with the buildings and power lines in the background plus the glow on the horizon all gives me that impression. I think there should be some lights in and around the buildings if they were still operational, but don’t see any.
Playing with different brightness settings and colors to try and enhance the face really enhances the other aspects of the photo more so.
