Good morning all:
If the world was perfect you would never have to drill a hole in your boat - however the world is not perfect and I need to install a fishing rod holder that will also hold my small propane grill.
I think the best place for me to install is on the boats port side on the rail were the non-skid is- more toward the cabin then the gas tanks. My questions are:
1. Is their wood on this section of a 2001 22 ft cruiser?
2. With the rather agressive non skid can you properly get a firm seal- there are four screws that hold the stainless steel plate in place.
3. Has anyone found a better spot to install the through the deck fishing pole holder/grill holder or better yet has someone found any clamp ons that do not require drilling into the boat??
Always appreciate everyones advise.
Ken
