For interested brats, here a few images taken while we were in Apalachicola in late October and early November: http://www.c-brats.com/modules.php?set_ ... _album.php

We stayed on C Eagle from the gathering to the seafood festival. I will add more photos taken at the actual gathering later, however, there are already some great pictures already posted by others.

Thanks for the memories! Nice photos. I hope to get back to Apalachicola in a couple of years.

Richard: Thanks for the photos....even if we did not get one of the hot tub :thup :smiled :moon

Some great photos. Just much harder for me to get there now from Nashville than from Montgomery, AL....as it adds a good 10 hours travel time to the total trip....

Enjoyed our chat....and see yall again soon.

Nice pictures. I think he butterfly with the eyes is a cecropia moth. They're
beautiful and you got a great shot.

Kent,

Thanks for the correct ID on this striking moth. I have been meaning to research the critter to find out exactly what it is; I have never seen one before and have always wanted to learn more about them. Apperently, this moth is the largest in North America and only has a lifespan of 7 to 10 days because it has no mouth parts.

This one was in a bush with several Monarchs. I photographed several Monarchs with ID tags on them and sent the ID numbers along with date and location to the Monarch tracking site but never received a response.
