I have been boatless for too long and think a CD will cure what ails me. I think the 22 Cruiser will best satisfy my needs. I'm looking for something to fish/hunt/cruise the local coastal waters out of Whittier, Seward and occasionally Homer.
I would like to find a well cared for used boat, but have yet to see anything come on the market in Alaska. I may have to bite the bullet and order a new one.
My preference is a 22 cruiser with an extended top and twins for power. The rest of the details (heater, icebox, etc) I'm still a little fuzzy on. I've read a lot of the posts and its obvious there are varying opinions on a lot of this stuff.
For any Anchorage area 22 Cruiser owners: I would love to go for a short sea trial. I have checked out the boats at the dealer, but have not had the chance to drive one. I would especially like to see firsthand how they run in a little chop and listen to the the advice of an experienced CD pilot.
