Hey, Ben.
I hope you weren't referring to me as a pro-Communist. Since you included the spitting reference in the same sentence, it sounded like it. If so, that's seriously not nice, and more importantly, not true. Life isn't black and white. I did intelligence work in the Army (no jokes please, I've heard that one...) and had daily, first-hand exposure to how our government lies to the public. Keeping something secret is one thing; lies are another, particularly when men and women who dedicate themselves to defend this country are used as pawns. Oh, and another thing - I like capitalism and always have; that's why I started my own business. Disagreeing with the government's policy doesn't make one a Communist. That's an easy cop-out label.
I've also fired a number of people who worked for me that were of several colors and economic backgrounds both in government and the private sector. Some just didn't show up regularly or try to do the job; others gave it their all and just didn't have what it took to do the job. I just don't lump the people who tried and lost in with those who expect a free ride.
In regard to my sense of humor, perhaps all those cold winters up in Plentywood did something to my brain. I dunno. Wow, -3 in Bozeman tonight; -23 in Plentywood. Yup, that must have been it. I'll try to laugh a bit more in spite of the labels applied without knowing me.
Stay warm,
Tom
