PLEASE NOTE: With the Seattle Seahawks playing in the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 2, the final day of the 2014 Seattle Boat Show will be Saturday, February 1 at both Show location.

Why are they doing this??????????????? the game is not even here. This is it the sea chickens can go to hell. If you want to go see the game do so but why do the rest of us have to suffer your stupidity to this useless sport. :roll: :roll: :roll: :roll:

I heard that the last day of boat show, lots of deals close that were started during the week. Maybe the idea goes, close everyone the day before.

It will be ok. Take it out on some lings this spring

You do not want to know what I really think and its a family site. Can anyone tell me why the last day is cancelled for a game on the other side of the country?? That you can watch on tv. They even cancelled the floating part of the show, which is were I spent Sunday at the show.
 
On Tom's side over here...

Maybe it will put the vendors in a good mood Saturday finishing one day early and improve the atmosphere a bit. They look a little worn on that second weekend.
 
I hate team sports! There all grossly over paid criminals, they never call, they never come by,never write, were not related! Never once even a birthday card. I knew everybody on the high school football team ! Who gives a rats ass!! Vern
 
Why would you want to post such a hate filled rant on a forum that has many Seahawk fans? I just don't understand what you hope to accomplish
 
The closure probably has to do with reduced attendance at the show due to the game.

The original schedule was for the boat show to be open 10AM to 3PM on the last Sunday.

I'll bet thy cancelled the last day of the Boat Show because they're using the stadium next door for a Giant Seahawks party to let the fans see the game on the big screen together, and they need all the parking they can get.

For those who watch the game, they'll cut to the stadium once in a while to see the Seahawks fans celebrate after a favorable play.

Go fishing, Sunday, Tom, you sound like you need some spiritual reaffirmation.! :lol:

You know for someone that told others to stop the hating on your other post about the Seahawks, the playoffs, and the assumed conflict with the boat show, you sure are quick to throw out the word hate. Were you really going to buy a new boat this Sunday?

I am with B-C here on this. we really don't care how you or anyone else feels about the Seahawks. the city of Seattle is in a fevered pith about THEIR team and I can see how the need for parking for the fans to watch the game on the big screen in the stadium. after all it is the Seahawks stadium, not the boat show's.
 
I think football is one of the best displays of brute strength, stamina, skill, strategy, and teamwork, and one of the best sports. (even though baseball is my favorite) But I hate the NFL and don't really follow seahawks because Seattle fans for the most part are bandwagon fans and drive me insane. Someday, when the Mariners are good again, everyone will be experts on them and will love them. and when the hawks go through a bad phase, these fans will be nowhere to be seen. that's the extent of my rant though, because some people really really do like their 'hawks, like this lady:

I for one am a long time Seahawks fan. I will admit that I watch more closely when the team is good. That being said, I have seen nearly every game and consider myself a true fan.

I think that they are closing early because they know their attendance numbers will be down. Additionally, many of the boat show staff and associated personal will want to be home watching the game. I know that I would not want to be working on Sunday when I could be eating and cheering on the home team.

I viewed the whole seahawk super bowl payoff thing as ok AS LONG as it did not interfere with the show. Now that it has happened I am pissed off. Its bad enough that I can't read face book or even drive thru town with out seeing the sea chicken posted everywhere. I am so tired of seeing supposed intelligent adults wearing sea hawk jerseys to work to dinner to every where I go. I just wanted to enjoy my boat show in peace. I would be ok if the game was here. I under stand that the chickens have never won a super bowl.. ever.. and they really wish they could. But to cancel a whole day of the show just to rip a bunch of people off by charging them to watch a game at the field that is on their own tv at home??? for free??

You have to see it my way. I don't tow my boat to the sea hawks game and troll thru the parking lot do I?? No. I just want the same in return. :lol:
