I CANT ADD PICTURES

Catch 22

New member
so i got my album, uploaded one picture using the form sucessfully, but now i cant find the add pictures button to put more in, im assuming it should be in photo actions, but im not seeing it, any help...

Go to your album, you should see a small list box "Album Actions", click on the down-arrow, you'll see "add photos". DON'T click on the photo you've uploaded, that will change that box to "Photo Actions", that might be what you're doing.

BTW, nice first picture!

Kevin, don't despair.........a computer whiz, I'm not.....but I have succeeded in pic posting endeavors in the past (don't ask me how). Often I've found directions for computer tasks difficult to follow as they often are a "catch 22" for me.

Wish you well in your efforts, I'm certain someone will be much more helpful to you than I.

yeah i see the album actions box, but the is no add photos option, just hide, and something else i cant remember, but no add photos

Sounds like you are in the "photo options" drop down instead of the "album actions" box. The "album actions" is above the photos and to the right.

Way to go. You screwed up C-Brats.com. Or maybe that first pic was so cool the software figured you didn't need any more.

You'll get it working. You did it once you can do it again. Everything looks OK from this end. Thanks for keeping after it.

Well you may be an idiot (like many of us), but I can tell you know exactly what you're doing! Thanks for the pics, keep'um coming!

I'm having a similar problem to the initial poster on this thread. The first picture posted fine using the "invitation" on the form. When I click (or right click or any other kind of click I can think of) on the "album actions" menu item "add photos" nothing happens. All the menu items behave similarly. I'm a Mac user and I'm using Safari 3.1.1 for this. Could someone suggest what's going on here?

The latest versions of Safari have a bug, which affects many sites using popup windows - which includes our photo gallery. Here's the text of a PM I sent to somebody else with the same problem.

Short version - you'll need to use another browser until Apple fixes the Safari bug.

Did a bit of digging around, and many other web sites are being bit by this as well. The nerd details...it's specific to a very common way that javascript is used to open popup windows. This method is used by the photo gallery we have installed.

Unfortunately, the permanent fix lies with Apple - a bug was introduced into Safari with a recent OS X update that is the culprit. Previous versions of Safari worked fine, and the Windows versions of Safari are not affected either. There are coding workarounds that some sites have implemented to get around the bug, but I won't be putting them in place at the C-Brats. It's simply too much work and risk for too little return, to fix a problem that Apple should rightfully address.

Were there not alternatives for our Mac users, I might reconsider...but given that other Mac browsers work fine, I'd prefer affected members use those options until Apple fixes things on their end. Given the number of sites reporting this issue, one would hope it would be a high priority for them.

Thanks Bill. FYI, Safari 3.1.2 which I just downloaded, still has not fixed the problem. Guess I'll have to get out my old Mac :D

I found out the same thing, Safari wouldn't let me post photos in my album, so I tried Firefox, and all is well.

No problem posting photos in posts with Safari, though.

I uploaded this and included it in the post using an old version of Safari - just wanted to see how things work.

This 'postcard' shows exterior and interior views of F. Silvestris and pictures of the Chief Engineer (in training) and Captain.

Thanks for your help folks!
