How about a "toy" C-Dory?

Mark – when I first notices the title of the web site, I thought it said TimeShift so I thought hey, I can go back in time and change an embarrassing circumstance with my boating a couple of years ago. It didn’t work, all I did was fuzz the picture, I am still high and dry.

I was hoping this thread would be about creating a remote control model of a C-Dory using some off-the-shelf model hull. Boy am I disappointed!
 
Now there's an idea for these long winter nights. I wonder how the technology in miniature electric outboards has progressed. Back in my model building days they were pretty clunky and very heavy. :wink

The most expedient way to model outboards is to use a fixed prop and dress up a transom-hung rudder to look like an outboard. Until you pull it out of the water, nobody needs to know.
 
Yea Tim,

I was kind of thinking along those lines....What a challenge it would be to try and hide a motor in the "Cubby" of a model 16' about 14" long. Run the drive line through the deck so it came out just below the transom. The batteries and rudder escapement could go under the motor well......We have all of the hardware and electronics already.......STOP THAT!!! I've got enough irons in the fire..... :wink Jack
