Hello,, I am not sure what the proper height of the cavatation plate should be according to the bottom of the boat?? I have read that they can be even with the bottom or one inch below. It seems that one of my motors is working against the other and I am not getting the right RPM's on one motor?? One motor is a 2004 and the other is a 2003. The lower mounting systems are not the same as far as adjusting holes . I can get the motors close but not exactly the same. I get 5700 rpms from the older motor and only 4000 rpms from the newer motor?? I am not sure if it is the way they are mounted or is it in the throttle adjustment. I have looked at everything real closely and cannot see anything that looks out of place or different. The boat runs really nice but if I could figure out the rpm difference and the right mounting height I am sure it could do better. My boat is a 2004 22 foot crusier.
Also seeing that the props are not counter rotating should one be higher or lower then the other??
One motor has 390 hours and the other has 25 hours.
