honda bf8 kicker recall

I was told that the recall concerned engines built a while back and the problem has been fixed. At least that's what my dealer told me. If I'm not mistaken, I believe that Les confirmed that for me. He might be the man to call.

I like mine just fine.

I like my honda just fine too, but if theres a recall TELL ME!!! that way I can get it fixed.

About a month ago my wife got a recall notice on a part of her 89 toyota truck. It has 289,000 miles on it. I gave the truch to my brother two months ago and he is taking it into the local dealer to get the new part because "it could go any second". That and he wants to see their faces we ask for the new part.

They did tell me, about a year ago. Got a notice in the mail from Honda, took the kicker down to the local Honda shop, had it back in a couple days.

Just to be clear - the recall only applies to the BF8A Classic - not the BF8/9.9.

It also only applies to certain serial numbers, so it wouldn't surprise me if Honda only sent the recall notice out to affected customers.
