I have a Honda analog tach with a LCD read out window showing engine hours.

I noticed today what appears to be an hour glass looking symbol flashing to the left of the hours read out. I can't find a manual for the tach.

Does anyone know if the symbol means anything more that the display is showing total hours. I don't recall it flashing in the past but it was a long winter. :embarrased

Phil-

I think I remember from the past that the hourglass means that it's time for a routine service interval, but I'll have to defer to someone with Honda ownership and an Owner's Manual.

I did do a little research, and the blinking hourglass on some Honda products simply means they key is on and the clock is running, adding up hours to total time of service.

yes its just the hour meter running. if you cant remember what something does in your boat you need to use it more. my meter says 780.

Exactly correct. You beat me to the reply.

Too many toys - too little time
