HOLY EXPLOSIVE FLOTSAM, Batman!!!!

Just from the news at 11. It was left over from a training exercise, from 2013. The said it was a dud and was exploded with secondary explosives. They also said that the Navy admitted to not having retrieved all of the devices from the exercise. Now that is something to be aware of. Did you ever hit a stick or see a deadhead up close while cruising our pristine PNW waters?

I've been over it several times this year. If you are headed north out of Bremerton or Port Orchard it is on the route. The bridge in the background of the explodtion of this device is Agate Pass. One is rightfully curious why the navy did not have some sort of easily identifiable markers on those spikes for their "training" mines.

I miss remembered. It was from 2005 not 2013. And there are more out there. BUT our Navy is going to re-scan the areas of dispersal and try and retrieve the other ones who did not float to the surface.
