Here we go again!

Jo and I are not as fortunate as those of you that almost "live" on the water, but we do enjoy our mini cruises.
We had originally planned to do a coastal ICW trip in SC the latter part of July, but the timing clashed with Jo's boss's vacation plans, so we moved the date ahead to June 27th thru July 5th, and decided to hit the Cumberland River (our original back-up plan).
We'll be launching near Celina, TN and heading towards the Land Between The Lakes. Not sure if we'll make it that far, and back, but it really doesn't matter. We've learned to slow down, and soak up every mile.
Hopefully these huge evening storms will be gone by then, but if not, we will add them to list of experiences aboard "Thelma-Lou".
We'll be taking our dogs again, and my boxer is bigger than he was at the NC gathering last fall, and a lot more spoiled, but the the berth is big enough for two skinny adults, a shih-tzu, and a spoiled boxer as long as he sleeps on "momma's" side.
We've purchased 2 of the little Stanley blower fans, and I fabricated a stainless bracket that hangs overboard from the lazaret to hold the honda generator. Now we can power the microwave, fans, and battery charger while at anchor.
We're just a tad bit excited about the trip!

Hi Larry
That sounds like a great trip, we would like to do so cruising up there sometime.
I have being thinking of how to make a mount for the Gen. but have not come with anything.
What size Gen. are you using? Have you took any Pics of what you have made to hold your Gen?
I would like to get some Ideas on how to fix one.
Have a great trip & hope to cruise with you all sometime.

Hey Jim!
The bracket that I made is a bit heavy, I may re-make it out of aluminum later. I'll get some pics tomorrow.
The bracket has clips that hook over the lip under the lazaret door, but still allows the door to be closed and latched. The frame rests against the rub rail and needs no other support. The entire unit folds flat for storage. I think it would easily hold the EU2000i.
When mounted on the port side...the exhaust points aft.
I found a new Honda 700 dirt cheap ($250) last fall, it's the same size as the 1000 but isn't an "I" series but it does have the battery charging feature. It will power everything we need, including the microwave (at medium power). I don't think they make this model anymore.

Slight change of plans. We now hope to launch at Granville Marina on Saturday, travel downstream to Nashville, spend Monday there, then head back up and try to explore/fish on Cordell Hull up towards Celina and back to Granville by Sunday.
