Help with Fiero article

For the article I am writing about the Fieros, I have a couple items I need to confirm but they have been out of contact in the northern islands since 8/12. I think they run 15-amp power to their boat and have a battery charger.
Can anyone confirm that? The other question, I am embarrassed to say, is that I cannot for the life of me find where I wrote down their top speed. That is something probably only they know.

The only answer I can give with certainty is their top speed is SLOW.
 
Not sure about the batt charger but a 22 equipped like they have it (pretty heavy and twin engines) would probably do 25 knots wide open. They don't run that way though, have seen them leave a wake only a few times.

Do you need pictures of them?

Some good pictures of them in THIS album. Of course they go to lots of CBGTs, this is where I first met them. Probably some pix in there of their boat underway too, haven't looked too deeply.

Chris Sibell confirmed the electrical and a top speed. That is only being mentioned as the article goes to a boating magazine and readers expect that number. I realize that otherwise, it has little relevance.

El and Bill told me that with four blade propellers their top speed is only about 22kts (their boat is very heavily loaded). They cruise at hull speed most of the time and enjoy the leisurely views. They anchor out much more than they use docks, I cannot remember them using shore power but I am not sure about that.
 
Back in US and within internet range - Canadian portion of the North Shore of Superior is a bit remote for internet for us, but our iPhone GPS worked great with the Navionics chart apps and kept us off the rocks.

Met great folks and cruised in tandem with the local guides on Moose. Fine weather and great cruise. Now, after resupply, it's on to Rainy Lake along the Canadian/Minnesota border.

Warren, in an old post, he said he was writing for Boat US. Maybe the Trailer Boat Pub?

Right, Charley - Boat US magazine. Just heard they may delay publication until 2011. Scheduling a magazine must be quite a chore.

The one thing some of us C-Dogs and C-Brats have in common is enjoying the Adventure of Halcyon with Bill and El . I think a lot of c-dory boats were sold and purchased by many people who wanted to trace some of their steps ,and live the dream . They are two of the nicest people I have ever met and I look forward to seeing them again at a Gathering on the East coast .

One of the reasons to have a pocket cruiser is to explore and feel the independance it give's you . They have certainly lived their Dream .
