Hi All Just registered. My Wife and I live in B.C. Canada in the Caribou region. We met a couple last summer in Shearwater B.C. who had a 22' cruiser and we loved it. We would like to buy a used 22' this spring if possible. It looks like we will have to travel to the US to find one so we are doing some homework on bringing a boat across the border Thanks for letting us join your group and happy cruising. Cohotel

Cohotel,

Welcome to the Family!

You will find that C-Brat's is probably unlike any boating group on the 'Wed. Truly a great bunch of people.

The C-Dory's are great traveling vessels. Comfortable, safe, and trailerable ... it's a combination that would be hard to beat.

...and did I mention "just a little bit Salty?"

Welcome, and Enjoy!

Best,
Casey

Welcome fellow Canucks.
This is a great site and a great group of boaters.
As far as bringing a boat into Canada from Washington State, it's a piece of cake.
Make sure you have separate bills of sale for the boat AND the trailer.
Don't be shocked when the seller leaves the plate on the trailer, that's how they do it down there, you have 30 days to reregister the trailer with ICBC once you cross the border, I've still got the old Washington plate hanging in my garage.
With my boat being a 1981 there was no registration papers with it, but the border guys were happy with the HIN number matching the number on the bill of sale.
They used to issue 13K or BC numbers at the Peace Arch border crossing but I've heard that doesn't happen anymore.
Good luck on your search.
Jimbo
