Paid a visit to the factory yesterday with Joe and Ruth of R-Matey. Perhaps some of you locals have seen this, but for the rest of you - here's a bit o' history.

This ol' gal birthed many a C-Dory 22 Cruiser - maybe yours.

Very interesting! Were these subject to just the ravages of time out of doors, or where they in the fire also?

Now we know where old C Dory molds go. Many do not realize that there is a finite life to boat molds, and that they have to be replenished with time.

Don't know, Dr. Bob - and didn't think to ask. Should have, but my mind was elsewhere...looking towards the future, not the past.

It's sitting outside the factory, right around the corner from the main entrance.

Never lived in a place so capable of turning everything green and slimy. Even my truck’s molding & window seals.
