Going to the SBSCBC?

So far, I know of people from every region of the US who plan to attend the upcoming Seattle Boat Show and C-Brat Convention in January. So this is not a local event by any means. How about you? Are you planning or hoping to make this perennial favorite this time around?
 
Since we are absolute newbies we are unsure of what takes place at the C-Brat Convention. Our first question would be are newbies tar and feathered or abused in any way? Should we be scared? Once we have the answer to those questions, we will go on to others. Such as what does go on here. How do we get involved etc.

This site and it's administrators are all very fine people that we are proud to be acquainted with. Looking forward to meeting some of you.

Heck no! We use epoxy and fiberglass dust.

Unfortunately, Kate and I will be, yet again, on Maui during the Boat Show. Going earlier this year due to our condo being booked for the entire months of Feb and Mar. Same reason we always miss the Sequim week-end.

Will miss all who attend, those we have met and those that are future acquaintances.
 
We are looking forward to the CB functions. Is there a thread somewhere that tells where to meet etc, or is that yet to come. And Bill the only reason we came up with the nice comment was that we were hoping for a free years membership.
From a newcomers perspective I really need to tell you that you guys are the best. I have lurked on this site only since July. I know that this must have been a trying week for you and Mike. Know that from at least a newcomers viewpoint that some things are just so transparent. You have reaffirmed our decision on our choice of boat and the people associated with C-Dory

So Red - are you coming to the show? Many of us down here would like to meet the "legend" in the flesh ( by that I of course mean in person and not :moon ) :lol: . I'm planning on attending.

funny-as-hell :thup Roger, mygarsh... if I actually made it, yud spot the character looking like this to be me --- :oops: :lol: life is in a uproar with movin and realestate issues right now... we just discovered our sweet old home to be unsellable :cry: but I think there is hope on the horizon :D got a few good friends and great help and advice to help this mess get under way... :rainbow

Eh , sure love to be there with Sharon. WE would be going across the border, with slide in camper . But this time I will make sure to leave my Washington spuds for the BQ behind, my dog food for Tia , my wife's vegetarian sauce behind !.... Leave my Ram Dodge Cummins ( rent what ever) for the slide in camper , the dog papers shots , my guns , and let the wife talk at the border to the custom agent so they don't detect my french Canadian accent. I sure like to meet all of you!... Gary SEARAM
 
it says here that 50 of you are going to attend the boat show but only 37 of you have signed up on the events signup . OK, you know who you are....lol.... come clean and give your selves up....lol....it is helping Linda & I to keep track of people and boat names as you get reservations for the shindig

Two threads running about the same topic.... the boat show and factory gathering...?? Now let's watch the traffic and see if our 3 omigo's merge the traffic??? They are gret site managers.. let's see how they manage traffic.

Byrdman will for sure be there, and will be bunking up with his soon to meet new friend from North Alabama.....or was it New York?? :teeth

As far as what goes on at the gatherings ....well, they are all the same. A lot of good times, laughs, nice boating, and they are all differant. :mrgreen: :beer and sometimes you sleep... for a little bit. :tea
 
We have every intention of making it but Santa is hurting this year.
I don't think he is bringing me an autopilot or a crab pot puller this year. I am hoping for 3 cans of goop and some masking materials...
I am working a couple of angles and we should make it.

Oh for crying out loud, MultipleBoatBrydMan! This here thread is the one that goes with the Poll, and the other is the official. We like to let the traffic manage itself pretty much, that's why this topic isn't locked.
