Galley Faucet in C-25

journey on

Can anyone tell me what brand of galley faucet was/is used in a C-Dory 25? I need new handles and covers, they're not standard and I can't find the maker.

Boris,
I waited for someone else to reply since I don't own a 25' Cruiser. I did replace my factory faucet that had plastic levers with one that had stainless levers. It was crazy expensive ($268) it was an InsinkErator model F-HC1100SN instant hot and cold water dispenser. I bought it from some gangsters called Faucet Depot. www.faucetdepot.com phone 1 888 328 2389. This is the same company whose water heater came with out boat.
I don't know if this will help.

Boris, I replaced ours with a single hole, pull-out, spray faucet. Fits the hole and is much more useful with the spray or stream feature. They are $150 and up at the box stores. I found one on eBay for much less. I'm not home now or I would look at the one I removed for you. Our boats were made around the same time and should have the same faucet.

Edit. I looked at your album and we had the same faucet. Photo "sink pin rails" # 10 in Configurations sub album.

Yours might be a Scandvik faucet. They make a few similar ones. Look at,
Brand: Scandvik
Model #: 10422 / 103100-MG

Boris, This Moen faucet was under $100 at Home Depot. A couple of nylon adapters complete the installation. Guaranteed to please the wife! Remove the sink for access.

We put in the same faucet as Roger (Dreamer). Easy to wash hair in the sink, single lever wastes less water (you can adjust temp then shut it down, then start up in the same temp). We use the sprayer function a lot.

I may have the old faucet, if you're wanting to replace with the same.

On edit: Joan knows where everything is - it took her about 30 seconds to have the old faucet in her hands. Let me know if you need it.

First of all, thanks for all the replies. I appreciate them.

Second, I'm glad to know that a regular Moen will fit. Dreamer or Jim, what nylon fittings or adapters did you use?

I think that's the way I'll go. I need to replace the faucet.

Boris

I've always favored Moen faucets. As Jim said, you can set the temperature and then still control the flow (or turn it off entirely) independently. With a lot of other brands, you have to bring them back to center to shut them off, thus losing your "setting."
