"FREE AT LAST! FREE AT LAST! OH GOOD LORD I AM FREE AT LAST."

Folks, I am back. Sold the Inn in Nantucket and rearing to cruise this summer. Would like to do the Erie Canal in September, but willing to join up during the rest of the cruising season. Narragansett Bay in May. Other "far away places with strange sounding names" like Cuttyhunk, Block Island, Shelter Island, the Rivers of Conn. You name it and I will try and be there.

I shall be home port on Boston Harbor, hopefully Hingham, but near by.

I am sorry that I have not been in touch with you all for the last few years. Had to spend all the time on Inn business. When I see you, I will share what went on.

Give me an E-mail or answer this post if you have any ideas?

FRED HEAP of the good ship INN-THE WATER

Hi Fred,

Ya know, ya gotta rename your C-Dory now? Since you don't have an Inn anymore, the old name has gotta go.

I vote for "Sheila's Relief". I'm sure other C-Brats will have some recommendations, too.

I know this will be a hard pill for you to swallow, but you'll have to spring for the libations at the renaming ceremony.

It's good to hear that you're getting back on the cruise circuit with us. Our "Fred" stories were getting stale. We need new ones.

Rick from Maine

Fred,
I hope you got enough for the Inn that you could afford a new boat trailer. Getting launched with your trailer on a rollback has to stop. Will Sheila be joining you on the cruises? Mike Rizzo is a TUGNUT now and Dun is about to pounce on a Rosbourgh however you spell it. I hope all is well and that life is treating you and yours well. Look forward to seeing you on the water.

Dave and Ginny,

You never get what you want when you sell real estate.

I got the trailer fixed in New York and picked it up after attending an Inn Convention in Stow that October. Yes it needs some work, which I plan to do as soon as I get the boat in the water next spring. If it calls for a new trailer, I will get a new trailer.

How's everything with you? Looking forward to joining you all for some cruising.

As for people moving up. Not in my cards. I hope to also get a used class b rv. a lot like the Roadtrek 190. I don't know if you ever met Fred from Pennsylvania. He had the perfect combo. A Roadtrek 170 towing a 22' C-Dory. He had to sell the C-Dory. We became instant friends for life when, standing in front of the Women's Musium in Sececa Falls, he looked at me and said "damn women libbers."

Thanks for your E-mail.

Fred Heap

ps. I have to get rid of this Man From Nantucket. I will be sailing out of Hingham.

Hi Fred,

GOOD to hear the Inn is SOLD. I hope you have a much fun as Pat and I do being fully retired. We are planning to live in our Roadtrek in Florida most of the winter. We spend a lot of time along the ICW near LaBelle, Florida. Alas on dry land , but we see a lot of neat boats and even a few C-Dorys.

Have fun and happy cruising.

Fred, Pat and Bonnie the Cat
