Fuel costs

Well, the cost of filling both tanks on a C-22 just hit $100 here in San Diego, not counting stabilizer additives. $2.499/gallon. Jeeze I'm glad it gets good fuel economy. But now I have to worry about it being a midnight filling station for some gas desperate driver. What's the current cost for 40 gallons where you're at?

I only pack around 24 gallons of fuel when topped off. The lowest unleaded octane at our Port Angeles Safeway is around $2.05 a gallon. It seems like the price changes every other day. Diesel is around $2.30 a gallon.

It's still about $1.90 here on the right coast. I fill mine at my pier from 5 gallon containers and seldom venture out into the marina world. My 36 gallons will take us quite a ways..

Gas at the service station pump is $2.35 here in Redding, and $3.50 at the Marina at Shasta Lake (!). 40 gallons at $2.35 = $94.00, and 40 gallons at $3.50 = $140. Joe.

The Warrenton Costco has regular at $1.97 tonight.

What really gets me is the price of diesel. They sure sucked us into that one. It was $2.28 at Safeway the last time I looked (Costco doesn't have it). Why did they have to wait until I finally got a tractor engine to jack the price way up?

Snoquamlie Valley, anywhere from $2.05 to $2.15 (or as high as $2.17 in Preston) recently - but these prices are ALL just snapshots in time - we are headed for $3.00, no question in my mind. The advances and retreats have been just to set us up (ever find yourself thinking $2.05 is "cheap"?) for the increases to come. Daydream carries about 46 gallons, and we paid more than $100 (or would have, if we were filling both tanks) earlier this summer...

Just fill-ed up yesterday at $2.03 at the Safeway in Anacortes.

I'm spending a couple of weeks in Oklahoma on training. The gas around here is $1.83. Can't wait to get home. Cheap ( ha ) gas doesn't make up for the great Northwest.

You folks help me feel better about our prices, especially the people in dear ole CA. I paid $1.97 at Fred Meyer station at Scappoose, OR before we put the C-Dragon Plus back in the water. Have not been on the river for over a month, so I don't know what marina prices are locally. They were 40 to 55 cents a gal. higher. This nonsense starts as we go up to a 25' with 100 gal. tank! We'll have to handle the power with more care.

Does anyone out there know the price at Cathlamet?
