Finding Information on Marinas

Hello,

I know this topic was covered by others, but I was sent this information via email from the "Discover Boating" organization and I thought it was worth sharing.

To find a marina and a photo of the marina, check out this website: http://www.discoverboating.com/boating/marinas.aspx

Type in the zip code of the area you are interested in and enter.

The neat part is the Bird's Eye View of the marinas. It provides a satellite close-up view of the marina and allows you to chose from which direction you want to view the marina (N, S, E, W).

Great site. I like the picture, especially when you zoom in and use the "birds eye" (oblique) feature. They must be using the Microsoft mapping program.

Nice site. I find you can enter the name of the city instead of zip code to search the area. When cruising unfamiliar areas I usually don't know the zip code. I too like Active Captain especially the reviews that are written by Cruisers.
