Felony animal cruelty

Yep! It took Fish & Wildlife several months to finally find something they could charge them with. The three are up on felony charges. Last I heard two were out on bond and the third guy couldn't make bail.

What a smart bunch of boaters. Definite Mensa club members.

They should start that "boater card" program in FL too.

I can't help but wonder if the 'towing of fish is prohibited' in the California "boater card" training syllabus?.......you just can't fix stupid.

Sure, nasty mean stuff happens; it has been since just after the earth cooled.
And, it sucks just like really bad weather during your anticipated vacation.

Being offended by what others say or do demonstrates a disempowering, ego
filled, victim mentality.

So, the antidote for being offended by others is to realize you have no control
over their words or actions; you can only control how you react and respond.
Once you get this, you'll feel much better.

It's all about you, not them.

Aye.
Grandma used to say, "We don't see the world as it is. We see it as we are."

Foggy: Very ironic for you of ALL people to be lecturing about inflated ego. I guess there have to be some ironies in life. Your "homespun wisdom" stinks on ice.

Controlling how I react and respond, I can only say I find your various lectures very tiresome.

When it comes to material I care for, I get absorbed, engrossed
and can't seem to get enough. Like beautiful music. Like admiring
some artwork, working on a really tough puzzle, learning something
new or seeing a spectacular sunset.

Alternately, when I come across distasteful material, I usually ignore it;
turn it off, don't read it or walk away. Like hearing views on religion,
politics, morality, how to catch fish, stuff like that. Oh yeah, excessive
self embellishment. Just don't have time for these things.

So simple. And it works for me.

Aye.
Thanks Grandma.

An example of what showing off on the internet will get you.

Who's laughing now?

Eckhart Tolle, A New Earth, pp. 11 - 12.
“If the history of humanity were a clinical case history of a single human being, the
diagnosis would have to be: chronic paranoid delusions, a pathological propensity
to commit murder and acts of extreme violence and cruelty against his perceived
‘enemies’ - his own unconsciousness projected outward. Criminally insane, with a
few brief lucid intervals.”

If this is what Man does to Man, it's not surprising how Man treats animals.

Getting the picture?

Aye.

My father became a commercial fisherman in his later years...and hated sharks he often grumbled about catching a large salmon and having the filet bitten out of it..... so when he would hook a shark he would get it close to the boat and shoot it (or worse)...that was years ago and I always thought it was common among commercial fisherman...

Of course I was an adult when I realized all farmers did not carry a case of Dynamite in the trunk of the car...Thanks Grandpa.. (what a riot)

I actually thought that was the way to get rid of gophers...

I remember as a child watching some movie where the South Pacific Islanders were killing sharks by boiling coconuts and then tossing them into the shark-infested water where the sharks would gobble them down, and then die from a cooked stomach. That seemed really cruel to me then and I wonder now if that was really a thing or just some Hollywood fiction?
Deliberate needless cruelty, toward any living creature, should be a crime. I hope these A-holes rich parents don't get them off, yet again.
