Sorry to keep bugging folks, but I have found this 91 c dory cruiser, 22 ft, with an 80 yamaha an 03 4 stroke, and a 15 hp kicker, same brand and year.
Has been used little, has trim tabs, all the stuff in side like stove, potie, sink, fish finder ect. ezy load trailer single axel.
I got them down to $24000. Have an apt on thursday.
Im in alaska.
So, would that be an acceptable price for such a boat? Cant find anything on line to compare it with.
Imput would be appreciated.
Thats as low as they would go.

Jim-

It sounds pretty darn good to me, but I'm not too familiar with Alaska prices, although my understanding is that they are somewhat higher than those down in the 48, due to transportation costs and the general economic situation there. If so, it's even a better deal!

If the boat is in good shape don't worry about the 1991 date of origin. The boats from those early years were very well made, usually with less flaws than much later built ones.

Good Luck!

Joe. :teeth :thup

A guy form over by fairbanks went down to see this boat and e mailed me that it was in rough shape. Needed 2-3 days of serious polishing and the trailer was rusty and missing lug nuts. Said he did not make an offer and left. Was afraid he would not make it home with it. Like me iver 350 miles. So, I guess I will keep looking. If it sounds to good to be true then it probably is.
Thanks for input.

We bought our 2006 22 Cruiser this time last year with radar, 2006 Suzuki 90 with 185 hours for $34 with a King tandem trailer. I didn't speak up until now, but I was thinking that $24k might be on the high end unless it was very very nice.

Of course, ours did not come with trim tabs or a kicker, and the electronics were all 5 years old.

Sounds very fair to me.The lower 48er's don't understand the Alaska Discount!! I sold a 91 22 cruiser last year in Kenai for 26,000 the marine survey came back at 28,000 with similar equipment + pot puller & Radar
Have a good one!! :thup

You arte worried about getting a boat 350 milles to Tok and yet you will think abut towing one up from the lower 48.... got to wonder about that? Going to spend $24K on a boat and not $200 on giving the trailer a good working over to make it road worthy? Even with a new trailer your odds of having trailer problems are probably greater towing one up the AlCan.

And a couple of days of polishing... really, is that a good reason not to take advantage of a good deal. Guy must have never owned anything but an aluminum skiff before if he thinks a couple of days of polishing is a big deal. Imagine such a persons surprize after they buy that nice shiny new C-Dory and tow it all the way to Alaska and find out they have to polish it for a couple of days every year to keep it looking good, lol.
