My Starboard water pressure gauge for my Honda 150 sits at about 20 psi when engines off, i.e., it does not return to zero on shutdown. The Port gauge drops to zero on shutdown and rises in pressure with increasing rpm.
The Starboard gauge rises parallel to the Port gauge with increasing rpm, i.e., if Port says 25psi, Starboard says 45 psi. The pee holes are clean and show equal water flow visually.
Is there some sort of air lock in the lines, or is the Starboard gauge toast?
I called the local Honda dealer who services the boat (it is not due for service now) and she (yes, "she" is a great mechanic by the way) says those gauges go out fairly often.
I am just asking in that I wonder if one of the lines is holding pressure on shutdown or something?
Anyone know about this problem?
John
