Ethanol-free gas for boaters

I was surprised to learn that they no longer had non-ethanol fuel

Dave, I asked the employee at the Snohomish Farm Co-Op about this. He told me that the northern refineries (Anacortes) no longer are willing to sell non-E gas, period. The co-op has to truck their non-E up from Tacoma as a result, so I'll pay more.

The really stupid thing is this; ALL gas starts out as non-E. The ethanol gets mixed in when it is loaded into tankers for transport to stations. :?

I'd surmise that this is why Bellingham no longer has non-E gas. I've railed against this for years. You all know my position. But since when has facts, science, common sense or logic ever entered into politics? To all my reps in D.C.... :monty

Apparently the USCG requires non-E fuel for their boats, as well as several other quality specs, so we always try to find out which fuel docks they use.
