EQ Marine & the Marinaut 215

Now that it is time to market and sell the Marinaut 215, we knew it would be difficult to do the rigging and various custom work a user would want and continue to build boats, so we decided to look for a dealer that is well respected and has experience rigging, customizing and selling boats similar to the Marinaut. We knew of a dealer that would be a good match for us, so we approached him to be a dealer for the Marinaut.

We are now happy to announce that Les Lampman at EQ Marine will be the dealer for the Marinaut 215. At this time he will be the only dealer, so if you want a Marinaut, he is the person to talk to about price, terms and rigging the boat.

We plan to have an open house at EQ in the near future to show the Marinaut and give demonstration rides. Watch here or visit EQ's web site for the date. In the meantime if you want a closer look at the Marinaut or a demonstration ride, contact Les at EQ or Dave at Toland Marine.

Fantastic...I was about to quit on C-Dory when they dropped EQ as a dealer. If I were to look for a boat now, the new Marinaut, especially with EQ doing the selling would be the perfect choice. Hope that business gets so good that Les has to forgo the Massage business and go full-time back into boating. :smile [/b]

Great choice and good news, only problem is all the begging I have done at the factory to have them make EQ a dealer again is shot. I think your boat and EQ is a great match.

Hey...thanks for all the votes of confidence everyone.

Kathy and I are really looking forward to representing the Marinaut. We made the trip to Olympia recently to have a first hand look at the boat and to say we were impressed would truly be an understatement.

It's exactly the boat that fits what we do best and will suit many of our customers looking for a boat of that type. We'll be able to add the value that folks look for when choosing a quality boat.

We have one boat "on order" as a demo and look forward to handing more orders to Dave in the near future.

@Starcrafttom - Man, I really appreciate your efforts but I couldn't see the C-Dory builders being able to offer us a dealership as long as there's already a nearby dealer. Also, I wouldn't have a problem representing both boats as they're enough different that they'll appeal to folks looking to suit their particular needs. There's plenty of room in the market for both boats and they can only help each other by representing two outstanding examples of Northwest pocket cruiser / fishing, crabbing, shrimping boats.

We'll look forward to seeing as many of you as possible during our Introduction Open House (details to be announced).

Congratulations to Dave and EQ, it is nice to have Les involved with the promotion and sales of the new Marinaut. I am sure that many sales will be a result soon. Good luck.

OG Dave and Les & Kathy. Great. Here is wishing you all a highly successful venture. It's a good fit, and great boat for the PNW folks, and can't wait to see some of those M-boats on the water.

I'll second all the positive posts. Les is the right guy to do this, and I'm sure it will be a productive partnership. I hope to be able to attend the open house!

Great!

Dave, Ben, and Less deserve each other (in a most positive way!), and will give the new C-Dory owners, Triton Marine, a run for their money!!! :smilep

Hopefully, both can find success in a recovering economy. 8)

I posted a question a while back about whether anyone had ordered a Marinaut. It went unanswered. I guess I know why now.

Several years ago my wife and I made the trip to Whidbey to meet Les. Now after several years where he and Kathy have been out of the main stream, this looks like a fabulous match of a potentially great boat w/ two class people. I am looking forward to going back for a return visit.

Way to go Marinaut and EQ. :wink

On edit, I may have to change my proposed boat name. Hmmmmmm.......... How to fit Marinaut into the boat name? Hmmmmm..............

What a great decision for both of the companies, and for the rest of us.
It will be great to see the Lampman influence on the board again.
