EQ Marine and C-Dory

Congratulations Les,

Sounds like a win - win.

I know exactly how you feel. In my current job I get to tell the companies that I actually work for what a great (or not) job they are doing for one of their biggest customers.
Shooting the messenger is an all too common reaction!!

Les-

Thanks for the informational fill-in and honesty!

It's amazing what that kind of communication with a personal touch can do to settle some disquieting speculation!

We'll all sleep easier tonight!

Good news indeed, Les! I will be very anxious at the factory bash (or sooner, if there is any news that can be shared by anybody) to hear about the "re-organization," who is there and who is gone, what the C-Dory business philosophy is going to be.

He's Back!!! :note Back in the saddle again!!! :note :note

Well, or at least he is in the back rigging and waiting on C-Dory boats to show up again, as it should be. Hope to see you and Kathy at the Hotel in Jan08 Les & Kathy!!

Had a chance to meet the crew(s) up in St. Louis Fri/Sat too... and look forward to some C-Brat fun up there this spring with some type of gathering and possbile river poker run fun. He indicated there had also been some good news from C-Dory. This is all good and time will tell.

Humm..St. Louis to Nashville on da river.... 431 miles of channel river... or, a nice 7-10 day cruise... Any interest?? If so let me know.

All this good news is great to hear and see. Sure makes coming out to Seattle for the "N"th year more exciting, but, just coming out to see my Brat friends without the boats would be fine too. Like SENSEI says...it aint the boats, the plants, the dealerships....it is the people. See Y'all soon.

Les, Hope the new season has plenty of good news for you. We'll give you some good waves from here, and hope to see you this season too.

We bought our boat from Les five years ago. I think it was the first 25 that he sold. The deal and service that we got from him still boggles my mind. Les took his time with a couple of newbies to power boating and helped us with everything from docking practice to the choice of electronics.

I've stayed out of the discussions of the issues between EQ and C-Dory because I felt it wasn't any of my business. They are both small businesses trying to stay viable in a difficult market. EQ is a great little company and it would be a shame if they didn't continue to represent C-Dory. C-Dory seems to be downsizing their expectations in this market. I'm glad to see that they've been able to come to some accommodation that meets both companies needs.
