Electric Wipers for 22' C-Dory

I've decided to install some electric wipers on my 1994 22' C-Dory. The manual wipers are just not safe enough here in Hawaii this time of the year with so many whales around. I know that most C-Dorys with electric wipers use the AFI 1000 motor. However, I found Ongarro motors at Defender marine with more powerful motors, 2 speeds, and self parking for much less $$ than the AFIs. They also sell 12" pantographic arms to go with these motors. Has anybody any experience with the Ongarro motors? Any advice? Also, I want to be sure to purchase the correct shaft length which I believe is 1 1/2". Is this correct?

I have the older style single speed Ongarro wiper motors on my CD-22 that I installed myself 6-8 years ago.

They're fine, but not as powerful as the AFI motors.

Of course, that doesn't tell you how the new 2-speed Ongarros will work.

You might call defender or Ongarro themselves and ask how the two Ongarro motors compare and also how they stack up to the AFI's, unless someone else can say so definitely from this site.
