ELECTRIC CRAB/PRAWN TRAP PULLER

The switch burned up on my Brutus also, but Ace has addressed this issue and mounted an external high amp switch. The old switch was mounted in the base of the motor where there was just not enough room to insall a proper switch, it was the weakest link.
I did the same with my older Brutus, picked up a 50 amp swith at an auto parts store, sealed it with liquid electrical tape and stripped it to the outside of the motor; lasted tell I sold it 5 years later.
BTW, I went to a 60 amp fuze and upgraded to 10 gauge wiring. I shrimp for close to 5 months with two or three pots on a string pulling from depths up to 700 feet.

I now have the Max Power, 8 gauge wiring and 80 amp breaker.
Only tripped the breaker one time and it was pulling hard and came to a stop; shrimp pots we're hung up.
The plug and breaker that came with the unit were substandard these had to be replaced with quality components.
I also modified it so now I can pull a knot through the whole pulley system, it works a lot better.
It probably pulls pots three times faster then the Brutus.

Last time I talked with the gentlemen in Canada who hand builds the Max Power, he said it was costing more to produce the pot pullers then he could sell them for because of the exchange rate; most of his Parts came from the US.

The pot puller stores in about the same space as the Brutus did.

When I get a chance I'll post some pictures of the modifications I made and possibly a video of the Max Power in operation. You'll also see the custom mount I had fabricated.

I posted a video of max power above.

BTW, great effort incorporating videos of all the popular pot pullers. This kind of contrabution and effort is what makes this site such a valuable tool.
