EC 21 on Television

I am watching the Raiders/Chargers game and there just was a shot of a EC 21 in the Bay moving along rather nicely. Looked like a blue hull with no bimini top. Great shot for about ten seconds.

I saw my first Ranger 21 on a trailer at Ballena Bay, where there was a dealer, about 7-8 years ago, I think.

Ballena Bay Harbor is on the outside of the Island of Alameda, which begins just across the Oakland Estuary, and is about three miles across. It also houses the now closed Alameda Naval Air Station.

Great sailing winds in the afternoon of 15-20+ mph and nice steep chop and plenty of tricky currents.

I chaired a National Championship in FJ sailing dinghies there in 1991. One of 5 Nationals I've chaired, one Worlds, and numerous regionals.

Sailing makes you a better helmsman and sea goer, especially if you learn to sail and race in dinghies.
