E0 fuel

I found a home heating company in Mass. that sells VP E0 93 racing fuel (ethanol free).

Should I be jumping for joy or cautious?!! I'd love to start using this fuel. Although I'll probably still treat it with Stabil Marine and Yamaha Ringfree.

Thoughts?
 
I don't really think it would make enough of a difference to make the cost worth it. The engines run fine and are made to run on regular gas. I think using Marine Stabil and Yamaha ring free is all that is necessary to keep things running smoothly. I think ethanol free gas is better if available but never had any trouble using ethanol gas that had been treated with the cocktail of Marine Stabil and Yamaha Ring Free. IMHO

I use E0 gas with Ring free only. It is pricey at about one dollar more gallon than E10 but we use our boat about every 3 -4 months in Florida and E0 stores better than E10 in my opinion. If I used the boat more often then would use E10 gas
 
I have no problem running E 10 gas, if I have to--and will burn it all up on the trip. But when I can, I put in E0. For storage E 0, with Stabil, and ring free or similar, plus Startron.

I have had carburetor issues, when E 10 has been used.

I didn't use my Caracal for about 50 months--It fired right up, with E0, and the "cocktail"--but also was an injected Suzuki. For the Honda Carbed, engine, I always drain the carbs.
 
In western NY, we have a number of gas stations that sell Pure Gas, 91 octane. It typically costs about 50 cents more per gallon.

2-3 years ago, I was experiencing significant problems with my Honda 40 OB motors. A local mechanic serviced them, and that helped. But he said I needed to rebuild all the carburetors. About that time, I heard about Pure Gas, and filled the CD tanks with it. Within a couple hours of running time, the OB motors were starting and running perfectly. Two seasons later, that is still the case.

Last summer, the lawn motor at our cottage began running very badly: hard to start; surging; stalling. I decided to replace the gas with Pure Gas. After running through 2 tanks (about 2 hours), it began to smooth out, and now it too runs perfectly.

I am now using Pure Gas in all my small motors!
