We couldn't help ourselves and got one of these to keep on the boat. I had some of these many years ago but they have gotten much better in the last 20 years.

Just drove it for the first time yesterday and it was really quite fun. It is only two feet long and does 25mph with the standard battery for about 10 minutes. Recharges off 12v in as little as 20 minutes. This deep V with steerable outdrive design is supposed to be one of the best for rougher water. These could be very fun at some of the Cbrat gatherings! I can think of a few of you who are already reaching for your wallet. If you are out on the Sound and see a tiny boat scream past you.......look for Aurelia nearby.

I've been thinking about a small dingy, and this one could be remotely steered!

there are guys that troll with these in lakes for trout. just go slow and wait for the bait then head for shore. could be fun.
 
I could see you circling the 27 at anchor with one of this little boats and some custom flasher behind. Not sure if downriggers come that small.
 
Properly equipped, I could see it as a Snoqualmie beer distribution system. For instance; instead of having to walk all the way down/around "H" dock @ Friday Harbor, one could have a cold beer "delivered".
 
Imagine the possibilites if there were a group of boat loving tinker happy creative people around............. I wonder who might build the first RC C-Dory and which model will it be? I'm betting Tomcat. And who will build the first ceiling storage rack and integrated charging station? See what I mean...........

Just ran it again today and Cindie hot rodded the blades right off the prop. I knew that little stock plastic one wouldn't last. Time for a metal one and sure nice to get a new stainless prop for 10 bucks.
 
And apparently it's amazing what adult men can spend money on...
