Hello All: I am on the hunt for a used 22ft angler and was wondering after what year/years was any design changes made. I just finished rebuilding a 16ft Arima SC and would want the advantegages of a snug cabin for winter fishing here in the PNW. Thanks for your input. Retfish

retfish,

I am not the pro in this field, I have a 05 22 Cruiser and I like it the way it is. There is help her though, and there are several who could quote you all that info from memory, however. It is probably all here already, may be why you haven't gotten a flood of responses yet.

I just put "design AND changes" into the search and got 95 responses. Go to the top box on the forum or home page, click on the little magnifying glass, and in the top right search box box type in

design AND changes

and then click on the "find all terms" box just below. That will give you a place to start cruising through the literature here.

Good luck with your search, both here and for the Angler

The C-dory boats started out as flat bottom dory boat with the rear end cut off The first were built around 1980;s (classic)I think in 87 they changed the dory transom to a 4 degree deadrise and it is still set at this .For years they used twin 18 gollon fuel tanks and bilge pumps set by the cabin door since most of these boats were powered by 2 srtroke 70 johnsons 250lb or so the water caught in the boat went towards the middle and was pumped out by the center bilge pump

We had owned a 99 cruiser with mid pump but had a 90 suzuki 4 stroke 420 lb so we put a pump in the rear like all the boats now have .In 2000 they changed the fuel tanks to 20gallons and then again in 2005 they upped the fuel to 25 gallons and had fiberglass panels flooring to make the cockpit deck dry a big improvment IMHO I think in 2008 they went to a fiberglass inside cabin finish again a major improvement IMHO and a finished deck in the cockpit ,I know others will chime in about dates I might be off a year or two but Im getting old and I do forget crs

Other than the hull change in the mid to late eighties, the angler has been basically the same.

The basic 22 Angler has the same interior as the 19 Angler (the 19 Angler is just a shortened version of the 22) with fiberglass seat bases. On models with the aft bulkhead, the interior components are constructed of wood, unlike the 22 Cruiser in later years that has fiberglass cabinets.

The 22 Angler has never (to my knowledge) had a raised floor option.

I was talking about the 22 cruiser not the Angler the Angler did not have the raised floor as matt has said. Although I've seen a 19 Angler with some sort of raised floor I can't remember where I saw this .remember I have CRS

The 19 Angler (and the older 22 Cruiser) has an option for a drop in floorboard system. We have shown this option at the last two Seattle Boat Shows.
