Cutting Board

Wood cutting boards can be, usually are, ornate/beautiful.
Good for slicing bread, fruit, veggies, cheese, probably cold cuts,
occasionally, a piece of finger (it happens, no brake cartridge for
home cutting boards).

Definitely not for raw meat: see 'finger' above, fish (attention fishermen),
fowl (can be really foul), shell fish ('bottom feeders' speak for themselves),
cloven hoof critters (don't excite the demonic), etc.

I've cleaved frog parts on wood only to suffer, after the next meal, mild a
gastritis...

Why? The porous nature of wood catches and retains microorganisms
unlike other non-porous cutting board surfaces.

Aye.
Grandma (who added a little 'je ne sais quoi' to life) used to say,
"Choppa, choppa. Watch your doighta."

Check out the cutting board pics on "Nomad Mods". This one goes over the Wallas stove top, but it would work in any application where you want a cutting board.

Martin.

Woh makes those beautiful sink covers on here? It’s a cutting board I believe, but you’d never want to cut on it! [/i]

Look what Bud Meade who is a C-Brats member (aka "Nancy and Bud") on the boat Emma Mae made for us!

Got mine just in time to show others at the Friday Harbor C-Brats Get-Together next week. See attached link below. I don't know how to post the photo and maybe someone can do that for me. It is made from real cherry wood, is one piece and fits securely inside the opening of the sink. It comes with care instructions and with proper care it will last for generations.

Bud gave me permission to give out his personal e-mail address. Just PM or e-mail me and I will give that to you.

Very Nice! I think I will contact him about making one for us when we get our new cooktop.

Thanks for the kind words. Iove happy customers. Wish we could be there with you. Granddaughter will be attending Western Washington University next year. An excuse to be at Friday Harbor next year.

Toured Mystic museum today. Fun looking at old ships/boats and learn about them.
