I had the same question!

You can see the cable steering to a rudder post, the vertical motor, throttle linkage, muffler, gas tank and fuel line, air cleaner, etc, but no drive mechanism.

Can't see any provision for a V or L drive shaft direction changing device.

Doubt it has a real prop anyway, for safety's sake for this kind of a boat.

I'll bet there an impeller mounted on the outside of the hull spinning on the vertical shaft, with a "clamshell" over the top of it, and with an intake and exit port for the water on the clamshell.

The clamshell design would be interesting to do! (Look at jet outboards for some ideas!)

The rudder sits downstream of the impeller exit port, of course.

The inner and out shaft housing/motor mount and clamshell would probably have been done in sand cast aluminum alloy for cost and ease of manufacture considerations.

Maybe somebody up thee could call this fellow and give us a report? :lol:
