I am wanting to set up 2 control systems on our boat. one set for kicker and one for main. however there is only a spot for one set.so i was curious to see what others have done to get two sets in there?

Jake I am not sure exactly what you mean, but the set up I have is a Yamaha 115 main and a tillerless yamaha 9.9 kicker. I have a dual binicale control at the helm for both throttle and shift on both engines and than have a ss tie bar at the engines so I can steer at the helm. Works good for me.

A simple and cheap option for your controls is a trolling bar attached from your main to the kicker and an electronic throttle control for your kicker. :smile

Another option often used for some fishermen would be to put the controls for the smaller motor back on the cockpit/cabin bulkhead (steering) and gunnel (shift, throttle) so as to be able to steer and watch/attend rods easier when trolling.

You can also make the steering dual control with two hydraulic steering units, a tie bar, and keep the throttle/shift controls separate.

Eliminates running into and back out of cabin repeatedly, and bumping your head.

thanks for the last pic. I would like to have the steering in the back. make it way easier for fishing. and will look into the cost to set one up. i have the tie bar already for main and kicker.
I guess my main question is how do you get two sets of controls in the boat as there is only a mounting place for one set. I figured I would have to build something bigger to get second set in there. but after seeing that last pic i think I will explore that option, and it doesn't look to take up much more fishing space.
