Holy Catfish!!! I crossed the Columbia on the I5 bridge today around noon, on my way to Ridgefield for some birding/photography. There must have been at least 300 to 400 boats on the water chasing springers. I can't imagine what the ramps must have been like...

We were also in Portland early this morning and noticed the large number of boats out on the Columbia. Couldn't begin to imagine how a fish would even BEGIN to make it through that many lines/lures in the water.

Intesting...since we're moving up ther next month, I've been reading up on season, rules, etc. Nothing I can find on the WDFW site about when the seasons are this year...just for halibut in May...no salmon season announcement. Where do folks get this news?

Rick

Man you sure get around Rick, welcome back to the west. Any fish and wildlife regulations that are written are out of date :) a good source of local info is www.ifish.net

as much as I'd like to go salmon fishing, to many folks out there for my likens

Trust me, with 300 or 400 fishermen of my skills, the fish can easily make it through.
