Well, we are no longer the slow boat to Coupeville. Since about April Dotty and I have been heading out from Everett on our way to Coupeville. For many reasons, mostly other things like naval vessels or whales or crabpot minefields, we never made it. But today was different. Usually on Wednesday I volunteer at the VA hospital. But, because I had some minor surgery on my foot the other day, I took today off. So this morning I'm watching C-Span and getting all upset about that of which we are forbidden to speak. So Dotty says "Enough" .."We are goin' to Coupeville!" And we did! The weather and the water and the sky were just beautiful. We did some toodling and some flying (Well, we actually hit 20 mph a few times.) Plently of room at the dock, very good food and a wonderful waitress. We sat outside and had a million dollar view of the water and Mt. Baker. The ride back was just as wonderful. We left Everett at 1100 and got back about 1700. Used less than 12 gallons. From now on we are the Coupeville Express!
