I was riding the ferry to Victoria and stopped at friday harbor when I saw a new boat. Its a 32 harborcraft by kingfisher. She was sporting twin outboards and looked to have lots of room. The boat really got my attention and I know that It was a new model that I have not seen anywhere before. So when I got back from the trip I sent a quick e-mail to the companys web site. In two days I got a answer and a quick description of the new boat and a answer to my many questions. Today I got a phone call from there sales rep Brian from IMC in the islands. He spent a half hour or so, you know how much I like to talk, on the phone answering even more of my question. Last time I tried to get ahold of my boat maker it took over a week and a dealer had to call and prod them, and they had my boat in their shop at the time. Its not a boat in the same class as a c-dory and Iam not trying to compare them so don't jump on me about apples and oranges ok. but with two bunks its a interesting boat. they will be coming out with i/o and a flat floor. This is a boat to keep a eye on or drool over.

If I were in the market for a boat like that, I would definitely also consider the Coastal Craft -- John Schuler bought a 32' (no longer in production) and it is a sweet boat.

I saw a couple of Coast Crafts in Gibsons this summer (they are built there) and they are by far the best finished aluminum boat I have ever seen. Most people wouldn't even realize they are aluminum just by looking.

The 42 Costal Carft is my dream boat. I really want one but at $450k I will have to pass. I was on the one that made the cover of yahcting this summer. 40 kts, trolling valves, and twin drives with the joystick controller. i would live on the dame thing.
